- Have a kit. And this is really true for any kind of emergency. It should have some basic medical supplies, radio, flashlight, candles, and so forth.
- For a flood, get flood insurance. Renter’s insurance does not cover flooding.

El Niño is in full swing, and the Golden State is gearing up for a wet spring. Thanks to a blistering year of drought, the state has been battling fires, which have left the soil loose, damaged, and prone to moving in the sudden drenching rain.
