The Columbia Association’s Budget Committee will now been known as the Financial Advisory Committee.
The Budget Committee has released is report on the proposal to lower the assessment increase cap. You can download the report here.
The Budget Committee will be meeting to review and consider the proposed change in the assessment increase cap on April 2 and April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Columbia Association’s headquarters building. These meetings are open to the public and the exact location within the building will be posted at the entrance.
The Columbia Association’s Board of Directors has asked the Budget Committee to reassemble and look into the following: At this time, the PSC would like to send the issue of the long-term financial impact on the Columbia Association by the reduction of the annual Assessment Cap from 3% to 2% to the Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) for further analysis. Additionally the PSC would like to have a report on the findings of the BAC on this issue by mid-April so that there is time to react to the findings in this fiscal year.
